A strong foundation in Kindergarten sets our students up to do well in first grade, which of course, rolls over into second and third grades. Students learn to work in a structured environment that encourages independence, self-confidence, and success. Spiritually, each student is encouraged to develop a personal relationship with Jesus.
All of our students can read at grade level or above by the time they enter first grade, and reading development continues to be a strong emphasis as they expand skills to become avid and fluent readers. They also reinforce and master skills in mathematics, writing, science, social studies, art, fine and gross motor skills, social/emotional skills, and language development through units of study and themes that extend across and connect all of our content areas. The children explore the heroes of the Bible and learn to ask “What does it say, what does it mean, and how can I apply it to my daily life” as they read God’s Word, as well as learning how to cultivate a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
