About Me

I grew up on the mission field in Brazil, so I have a special place in my heart for missionary kids and the kids of others in full time ministry. I have an amazing niece, Anna, and 2 cats, Shazam and Gizmo, that welcome me home at night.  I enjoy reading, gardening, cooking experimentation, and hosting BBQs with friends on my deck.

Passion

My passion is helping students to find their voice, think deeply about social issues, and to academically excel to their individual potential. As sinful people, we are all on a redemptive journey through life to change our dysfunctional beliefs, patterns and systems through the leadership of Jesus Christ and cooperation with His Spirit. This growth requires us to have compassion and respect for both ourselves and others who are on their own redemptive journey. I believe that Christian education is a training tool to influence “change agents” in a time when Christian values are increasingly minimized and often directly attacked. I deeply desire to equip God’s people with tools to see their own hearts and see the world from God’s perspective, so they can authentically live for eternity.
