Skyler Cahill

Kindergarten, Physical Education, and Art Teacher

About Me

I was born in Wichita Falls, TX but raised in Hay Springs, NE. I was involved in 4-H for several years in which my two younger sisters and I showed sheep, cattle, cats and dogs. Most of my fondest childhood memories come from spending time with the animals that were put under my care. Throughout these years I learned many valuable life lessons at the guidance of our wonderful parents.

I have been married a year and a half to my dear husband, John Cahill. John works for the city of Norfolk as a staff engineer. He is a hard worker and does a great job taking care of us. His continuous support and encouragement to me are such a blessing.

My hobbies include scrapbooking, playing golf and basketball, gardening, baking and cooking. I also love working with animals and look forward to the day when I can again have pets.

Passion

My passion as a teacher is ensuring that students enjoy school, as well as helping them to grow academically. I find great fulfillment in seeing students excel in both their academic and social skills. It is always exciting for me when a key point clicks and has been clearly grasped by a student. Having the freedom to pray and openly talk about God with my students is a great blessing for which I am very grateful. This is one of the biggest highlights for me working at Keystone Christian Academy.
