Danica Praeuner, originally from Norfolk, attended Christ Lutheran School through eighth grade, which helped form the foundation for her life values. After she received her Bachelors of Arts in Education from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2010, where Danica majored in Elementary Education/Early Childhood Unified, she had the opportunity to be a preschool teacher for three year-olds at a Christian daycare in Kearney, NE. Additionally, she spent three years as a preschool teacher at Head Start in Kearney.
Danica will be the homeroom preschool teacher for two different groups: a pre-kindergarten class of four and 5 year-olds on MWF, and a younger preschool class for 3 and 4 year-olds on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Having both preschool programs will be a new endeavor for KCA and Danica will be right at the helm of this transition. In the afternoons she will be teaching in grades 3 – 6. Danica reports, “ I am very excited to join the staff at Keystone Christian Academy. I look forward getting to know each family and all the children who I will have the privilege of teaching, helping to enrich their lives both educationally and in God’s word.”
She is excited about the opportunity of sharing her gift of teaching in a Christian school and returning to the roots that gave her a strong foundation.
