John Steadman, an administrator contributor and community “ambassador”, moved to Norfolk 8 years ago and started working at KCA shortly thereafter. He graduated from Eastern State University in Washington State with an Elementary K/8 degree. His background includes restaurant kitchen management as well as 9 years of teaching in northern Mexico with a mission group.
While on the mission field, he traveled during the summer and received a master’s degree in curriculum development. John’s strength is flexibility in re-arranging plans to benefit rapidly changing situations. This next school year is no different as John “retires” from homeroom teaching in grades 1 – 3 and reshapes his role in education for the future of Keystone Christian Academy. While starting his own business, he will be an “ambassador” in the business world to promote additional partnership for the school. He will also continue to influence an interest and joy in learning for each student as an administrative contributor and board member.
Though John is leaving the classroom, his relational influence on all of the KCA students will continue to live onward. His dog, Maggie, who is beloved by all the students, will also continue to come to school each day.
