Statement of Faith

The staff at KCA teaches from the following doctrinal principles, emphasizing the Gospel message of the person of Jesus Christ:

  1. We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. II Timothy 3:16-17
  2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. II Corinthians 13:14
  3. We believe that man was originally created sinless. Tempted by Satan, man fell, and thereby brought the whole race under the  condemnation of eternal separation from God. Genesis 3:1-6; Romans 3:10-19; Romans 1:18, 32
  4. We believe in the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection and in His personal return in power and glory. I Peter 2:22-23; John 1:12; Acts 1:9-10
  5. We believe in the personality and Deity of the Holy Spirit. We believe He gives life, sanctifies, empowers and comforts all believers. Acts 1:8; Acts 5:3-4
  6. We believe that man is saved through repentance and faith in the finished work of Christ. Justification is through grace alone. Romans 3:23, 5:9, 6:23, 10:9; John 1:12; Ephesians 2:8
  7. We believe in the eternal security of the believer. John 6:39; John 10:28-29; Hebrews 13:5
  8. We believe that the Church is the body of Jesus Christ, composed of all true believers. The present work of the Church is the worship of God, the perfecting of the saints, and the evangelization of the world. I Thessalonians 4:13-17; Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8
  9. We believe that God designed marriage to be between one man and one woman. Genesis 2:21–24, Matthew 19:5
  10. We believe that God created humans in His image to be either male or female and this distinction was determined at conception.  Genesis 1:27, Psalm 139:13–14
  11. We believe in the personal, eminent coming of the Lord Jesus Christ for His Church. Upon His return to earth, He will establish His Kingdom,  the judgement of all creation, and then establish His eternal reign. I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 20-21
