We're Moving!

Keystone Christian Academy has been located in the Lifepoint Church (formerly Christ is King Community Church) since its inception.  The school must relocate by next fall, so its board members have determined that the school needs to lease or purchase an appropriate location, and must have funding in place for this by December 1, 2018.

A very promising property has been located that could be purchased.  Approximately $350,000 is needed by December 1 to acquire the property.  Lutheran and Catholic schools in Norfolk are funded by their denominations.  Keystone is non-denominational, so its basic budget is paid exclusively by tuition and donations.  Keystone needs several hundred thousand dollars in order to:

  • Purchase (or lease) an acreage or appropriately-sized building (and remodel it to suit)
  • Create a financial buffer so that next year’s budgetary needs are covered
  • Partial scholarships can be provided to families who cannot afford the entire tuition cost

Would you please consider a donation of a few hundred dollars or a few thousand dollars?

  • Your donation is tax-deductible since Keystone is a 501(c)(3) organization.
  • We would hold your donation check until the decision deadline to ensure that sufficient funds are gathered (or return it to you uncashed if the needed funds are not gathered).
  • Your donation will be permanently commemorated in a conspicuous area at the school’s new location. You will be honored also in school programs and on the school website through the 2019-2020 school year.

Suggested donation levels:

  • Ultimate Sponsor: $20,000
  • Diamond Sponsor: $10,000 (Title of proprietary area [if desired] for Diamond & above.)
  • Platinum Sponsor: $5,000
  • Gold Sponsor: $2,500
  • Silver Sponsor: $1,000 . (Business logo included for Silver & above.)
  • Bronze Sponsor: $500
  • Friend: $300

Keystone Christian Academy is a local private school that is distinct because it works alongside parents in a teamed approach to build on the values that parents are already working to instill:

  • Authentic relationships with other children and adults
  • Critical thinking about school content, current events, and relationships within the context of the family’s faith (rather than just learning about them)
  • Being known when struggling (rather than overlooking fears/vulnerabilities by focusing just on behavior or grades)
  • Intentionally low-tech environment in which individualized learning is hands-on

Your donation will make a long-lasting impact on countless children’s lives. Thank you!!
